Bishop’s Stortford Band are delighted to take part in the East Herts Showcase this September and October.
We are providing FREE group music lessons at our base in Firlands (Herts and Essex School Music Block), Warwick Rd, Bishop’s Stortford.
Priority will be given to school aged children and young adults age 8+ who have not had musical instrument lessons before.
The sessions will start on Tuesday September 10 6:15pm-6:45 pm and will continue on September 17, 24 and October 1,8,15.
To get the most out of the sessions, it is recommended that more than one is attended but there is no obligation to continue if it is not for you. We may be able to continue supporting individual learning in some way after the six sessions have ended.
We also welcome interest from adults who may have either played a brass instrument or another instrument when they were younger and wish to pick up an instrument again and join in with a friendly group of players. Adults must already be able to ready music.
We will provide the instruments and music during the sessions so just bring yourself and an enthusiasm to learn.
Our music teacher and helpers are all DBS checked and Safeguarding measures will be in place.
Our Showcase event will finish with an open session on
Saturday 26 October 10am – 12n at
Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church CM23 3AZ.
If you are unable to make our Tuesday classes then please come along to this. Refreshments will be on offer (donations accepted) at the Coffee Morning that we are running at the event. There is no need to book the open event.
